The Brahma Lab is excited to welcome colleagues from diverse backgrounds, including molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, and other interdisciplinary fields, to join us in our scientific pursuits. We strongly believe that diversity drives innovation and creativity, and we are committed to building a team that values compassion, fearlessness, and learning from one another to push the boundaries of personal and scientific growth.

We invite curious and out-of-the-box thinkers with a passion for discovery and an interest in chromatin biology to join our team. Members of our lab will have access to cutting-edge technologies and a supportive research environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.

Joining our lab will give you the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking research at UNMC, one of the nation's leading medical schools,  as well as the Eppley Institute, and the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, an NCI-designated cancer center

Postdoctoral Fellows: Fully funded positions are available for both wet-lab and computational biologists to work in the broad areas of chromatin dynamics and transcription regulation. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field, with a strong publication record and a keen interest in chromatin biology. Candidates with expertise in next-generation sequencing technologies, epigenomics, and bioinformatics are strongly encouraged to apply. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and independent research projects to take along, apply for prestigious fellowships, mentor graduate students, and collaborate with researchers across diverse fields. We offer competitive fellowship and benefits packages based on experience according to the NIH guidelines.

To apply, please send a cover letter describing your research interests and career goals, a curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references to Dr. Brahma (sbrahma@unmc.edu). We look forward to hearing from you!

Graduate Students: Brahma Lab welcomes students interested in lab rotations starting in Summer 2023. We will accept MGCB, BISB, BMB, and Cancer Reserach doctoral students within the IGPBS Graduate Program. For more details or questions about graduate studies at UNMC, please email Dr. Brahma (sbrahma@unmc.edu). Students interested in pursuing Master’s research are also encouraged to email.
